Lately, I've been needing a change of perspective. Usually, for me, traveling provides that feeling in an instant. But I like to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone, so in choosing not to go the easy route, I regather myself. I choose to look at my reality in a different way.
In talking to a friend, I gave him a piece of advice that was actually very autobiographical. Life is less like driving down a long road, and more like sitting in the middle of the ocean, attempting to catch a wave. Too often we try to steer and control what happens in our lives, when we are really just along for the ride. Changing your perspective is key; it could be the difference between living the life you want and loving the life most are programmed to enjoy. The choice is all in how you choose to see it.
