Storytelling, as an art form, is a past time that has been passed down for centuries from the beginning of time. Last month, I was fortunate enough to sit in on what felt like an old sit around the fire style of storytelling. Artists covering mediums from poetry to photography to writers to videographers shared their stories of life that led them to the point where they sat before us. So much emotion spread across the room as tear-jerking accounts of experiences that most don't bounce back from. I left that night with a self-reflective mind state in which I had to evaluate my experiences and be aware of how my actions shape my reality. I cannot share these accounts as requested by the panel due to how personal they were but check out some photos and their Instagram pages as well.
